2022 marks Tony Salerno’s 25th year as a Real Estate Agent. As an agent, then branch manager, and now as Broker Owner of RE/MAX Heritage, Tony Salerno has spent the past 25 years helping nearly two-thousand families find, buy, and sell their homes.
Working his way through school, first at community college in Waterbury and then undergraduate school at Arizona State, Tony received his Bachelor’s degree in Business in [year]. Upon graduating, Tony put his hard-earned business education to use. With a few partners, he started his own food distribution business. When his company was bought out by one of the industry's major players a few years later, Tony used the money from the sale to begin investing in multi-family homes and took his first steps into the world of real estate.
For the next 10 years, Tony worked as a UPS manager while he invested in real estate on the side. Initially intending to build homes, Tony earned his real estate license in 1995 but didn’t make the switch to real estate right away. Then, on June 1st, 1997, Tony decided to bet on himself, quit his job, and took the leap into real estate full-time.
Tony spent the next 20 years developing into one of his company’s top agents. He became the branch’s biggest seller; then he opened a new office for them. In 2017, more than 30 years after he sold his first business, Tony seized the opportunity to once again become his own boss. With his long-time friend and business partner Joseph Ferrigno, Tony purchased RE/MAX Heritage. Tony and Joe lead their agency according to a clear vision of what it means to do real estate the right way - to help people realize the dream of buying a home, to prioritize their clients goals first and foremost, and to prove that successful real estate can and should have a conscience.
After 25 years in the industry, and with more years of business experience beyond that, Tony moves through the world of real estate these days with the practiced ease of a master at his craft. If you ask him what keeps him motivated after all this time, he’ll tell you, “I’m doing what I love to do. I control my destiny. I’m earning my keep. I’m helping people make the most important purchase most of them will ever make. I appreciate my clients.”
Born in Sicily in 1964, Tony has been a Connecticut resident since 1973. He currently resides in Ansonia with his wife Jennifer, his two sons, Anthony and Matteo, and his daughter Chiara Marie.
